Independent game studio — London

We build games with weight, wit, and momentum.

FrostLegendQuest is a small Bloomsbury studio making original titles and helping teams ship theirs. From vertical slice to final cert, we handle the messy middle so the play stays sharp.

What we do

Services built around shipping, not slideware.

Four ways we plug into your production. Fixed-scope or embedded, we work in fortnightly sprints with playable builds at every milestone.

Original Title Production01

Original Title Production

Full concept-to-launch development of our own IP and yours — design, art direction, engineering, and audio under one roof. We scope a vertical slice first so funding conversations rest on something you can actually play.

12–30 month builds · from £120,000 · Unreal & Unity

Co-Development & Team Extension02

Co-Development & Team Extension

Drop our engineers, artists, and designers straight into your pipeline. We match your tools, source control, and review cadence, then take ownership of features end-to-end rather than filing tickets in isolation.

Rolling monthly · from £8,400 per seat / month

Engine Tooling & Technical Art03

Engine Tooling & Technical Art

Custom editors, build pipelines, shader systems, and performance passes that give your team hours back every week. We profile on real hardware and leave you with documented, maintainable tools — not a black box.

4–10 week engagements · from £14,000

Porting & Certification04

Porting & Certification

Bring your finished PC build to Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, or mobile. We own frame budgets, input remapping, storefront requirements, and the full first-party cert submission cycle through to a passed build.

6–14 weeks per platform · from £22,000

Kind words

What partners say after we ship.

FrostLegendQuest embedded with our team for eight months and owned our combat rework outright. Our Steam rating climbed from Mixed to Very Positive after their patch. They think like owners, not contractors.

Studio Director, Manchester · March 2025

The Switch port we’d written off as impossible passed first-party cert on the first submission. They found frame budget where our own team couldn’t and documented every trick.

Daniel O.

Executive Producer, Brighton · November 2024

Their engine tooling gave every designer on the project two hours back each day. I still use their level-streaming editor on new projects. Worth every pound.

Sofia L.

Lead Designer, Amsterdam · August 2024

We came in with a vague pitch and left with a vertical slice that closed our seed round. Honest scoping, no drama, weekly playable builds. Rare in this industry.

Good to know

Questions we hear most.

We’re fluent in Unreal Engine 5 and Unity, and comfortable dropping to C++ or bespoke tech when a project demands it. We ship to PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and mobile, and hold the necessary first-party developer relationships to submit for certification.

Both. Roughly half our year goes into original titles we own and self-publish, and the other half into co-development and tooling for partner studios. Working on our own games keeps our craft sharp and our estimates honest.

We start with a short paid discovery to pin down the vertical slice, risks, and milestones. From there we quote either a fixed-scope build or a monthly embedded rate. You’ll always know what a milestone costs before we begin it, and every milestone ends in a playable build.

Yes — most of our co-development work starts mid-flight. We adapt to your source control, task tracker, and code review standards rather than forcing ours, and we aim to be committing useful work within the first fortnight.

Our studio is on Lamb’s Conduit Street in Bloomsbury, central London, and you’re welcome to visit for reviews and playtests. Day to day we collaborate remotely with partners across the UK and Europe, syncing on shared build servers and weekly calls.
